Worship Studio

Audio and microphone setup

Choose and test a clean sermon audio feed.

Choose an input

Worship Studio transcribes the device selected in Settings → Audio. A projector connection does not automatically supply microphone audio. A laptop microphone is useful for testing; a clean pastor-microphone feed through an audio interface is usually easier to recognise than room sound.

Select and test

  1. Connect the microphone or interface before opening settings.
  2. Choose the intended input in Settings → Audio.
  3. Speak into that microphone and run the audio test.
  4. Adjust Input Gain if needed and repeat the test.
  5. Start transcription and verify actual words in the transcript.

The input test stops after 60 seconds. Gain changes apply on the next test. A moving meter confirms incoming audio; it does not prove successful transcription.

Connect a mixer feed

Use a mixer output and interface input appropriate for the signal. Ask your sound operator to verify routing. Set mixer and interface levels before increasing software gain. Avoid feeds dominated by music, audience noise or echo.

No audio or no transcript?

If the meter stays still, check cables, interface power, mixer routing, selected device and Windows microphone access for desktop apps. Reselect a USB device after reconnecting it. Test a second input to isolate a hardware problem.

If the meter moves but words do not appear, check the chosen speech provider. Local processing needs its installed model; a cloud provider needs internet access, a valid key and available quota. See speech recognition.

Rehearse and respect privacy

Test with the actual preacher microphone before a service. Check quiet speech and loud speech. Avoid using nearby loudspeaker playback as the primary input. Tell participants when speech will be recorded, transcribed or sent to a cloud provider.
